In New York:

CONFERENCE PROGRAM COMMITTEE (CPC) HELD A MEETING IN NEW YORK

The Conference Program Committee (CPC) for IAOS 2010 Chile in October, held a recent meeting in New York.

On this occasion, the criteria for financial support and the contents of the scientific program were established.

The IAOS committee is now undertaking the selection process for eight abstracts for each topic; authors should send their papers and a presentation for the conference.

In addition, 15 authors are going to be invited to present their works in a Poster Session; these works will be selected prior to the conference.

Participating in the meeting were the following members of the committee: Peter Harper (ABS), Enrico Giovannini (ISTAT), Eszter Horvath, (UNSD), Irena Križman (SORS), Michael Bordt (Statistics Canada), Mojca Suvorov (SORS), and Mariana Schkolnik Chamudes (National Statistical Institute (INE Chile), together with other representatives of statistical institutions.
